Hi Clare, I'm new here and impressed with how you just built the tank you wanted yourself!

Looks like something I'd like to do too, could you give a description of how you did it and what glass you used and how to get it. It looks impressively thick.

I'm looking to get (or now make) a quality 60lx40dx45h tank but all I can find is very cheap glass tanks 60x30x36 or 60x35x35

I want to start a jungle/natural tank with a ravine through the middle so the hight of the tank is important, the stand I have is 64lx49d but I'd like to keep to a standard length because it'd probably be easier to get lighting for it.

Congratulations on your new tank, looking great so far!

The latest on the cories - i lost one a few weeks back, i think it may have been the tetra wafers as the only time i start losing one is feeding them that.

Time for me to close this chapter of my life.

My babies are going to a new home in two hours. Been doing things slowly - plants in bucket, gravel in another bucket (and rinsed) and then to catch the fish into another bucket before we move everything...

Last pics of them on the forums...

Yes they were pretty easy to care for. I would definitely recommend them as beginner fish.

The husband, wife and their kids were so happy to receive the fish. He was very chuffed - been wanting a fish tank for a long time and I couldn't ask for a better home for the fish.

So I know they will be well cared for when I leave south Africa.
