    Hi all,

So I’m back with a new Nano scape. This is a 70L, the idea for this one was to create this mountain type layout, this is my first try on these kind of scapes, I love the natural look, clean look of iwagumi scapes and of Mountain scapes and I thought I would give it a shot. This will be a low tech setup using Scape Liquid CO2 and other Scape ferts.

    Light: 2ft Oddysea light unit
    Substrate: Akadama Double red line

    Plants:
Monta Carlo moss carpet, S.Repens, tiger lily, Hydrophilia Pinnatifida, Anubias, Buce, Riccia moss.

    Live stock:
I’m planning to keep my better grade CRS and CBS in here from my larger tank to get better grades. Will keep a few tetras, some Nerite snails in here.

Playing around with the initial hard Scape to form that mountain type of style. This is the final layout I came up with

Then added the rocks to the tank and added some plants from my larger tank, still going to get some buce to add between the rocks.

Added the S.Repens And Riccia i got from Trevor the weekend by Sams.

I’m Doing the dry start method for a month or two. Takes a lot of patience as we know.

So after 3 weeks of dry start I decided to fill up, everything is holding down nicely :) now the wait begins to allow the plants to grow in, I’m still going to add some buce in the center. Hopefully the Pinnatifida and S.Repens will grow nice and bushy to cover the back.

So I ordered some buce online and was so excited to receive them today, however I’m a bit disappointed about the size of the purple blue, the elegant blue is a decent size but paying R165 for a Purple Blue Buce the size of a R1 coin, is this normal?

Asking those that have bought buce from online stores before?

@Maurice, I really don’t like to name and shame, but I honestly thought I would be getting a normal sized pot, I bought it from PetstopSA.

Hi Maurice, yes I’ve seen them too, but now I’m kind of put off as I’ve already spent quite a bit on buce,if I do buy, it won’t be online. I think I’m going to send Shawn from PerStopSA a message.

The Centurion Mafia know that even for a clipping to be paying R150+ is normal if you buy from Petstop. But there are so many of us with buces on the forum and you would have received bigger portions if you asked from other members to sell you some.

I would have liked if you sticked one type of rock here. By the looks of it you used 4 different kinds... Whilst I appreciate the fact that maybe you couldn't get more of the same, it would've been better to then rather use fewer rocks and maintain the same look. My 2c.

@Waltjie, I would have done it like that however, those are the rocks I’ve had at the time and didn’t want to buy more rocks.

I’ve finally planted the my buces on Saturday, here’s the final layout and look of what I was going for. Now to let this tank grow out.
