as the title says, i am looking for spiderwood in the greater gauteng area.. large pieces, quite a few, if anyone has seen or knows where to get, please let me know? also looking for mangrove roots like the below:
i also saw that wood they use in bird cages, looks like grapevine, only harder, but it doesn't do well under water, starts smelling like sulphur pretty quick
Try fish 4 africa in Bredell... They always have all sorts of wood. Think I got some type of grapevine from Namibia while ago. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
I am not a retailer and as such dont import. These are well prices. I am situated in Stellenbosch but postage is not an issue. Sent from my E5823 using Tapatalk
I have some proper vine, doesn't look like it's rotting but it hasn't been long so far. I think braaiwood vine from the cape can work, I'm going to try some
A mate of mine had some laying around his place, he emigrated awhile back. bought it from him. Ill find out where he got it from.
@D911 - thanks I also found some yesterday but didn't have time to look at it, have to go back on the weekend or maybe friday if i am lucky..
I'm trying my piece of hard grape. Have to reglue the top part I cut off then will soak and use, the top was in a smaller tank so has to dry and shrink again. The rest was in my snake cage, dry
