Do you have a photo of the emersed growth? and do the plant need any special treatment to look as great as yours?
It doesn't look much different really. Nate posted a pic of his a few posts up. Someone else asked me via PM, so I'll just post it here too. "Rather strong light, the addition of CO2, and soft to medium hard water are recommendable, as are temperatures between 20 and 30 °C and a substrate rich in nutrients, where the plant can develop a dense root system. Under too low light, the plant tends to etiolate, i.e. the stems form longer internodes and develop a rather upright growth habit." A good nutrient rich soil based subs and healthy rhizosphere is key. That and the one thing so many hobbyist are so afraid of doing - good 'ol regular down to the subs hard trim. No mercy, just trim it right down. Once its developed a nice root system, it really seem to just take off.
i have play sand so i think its a let down. will invest in root tabs at a later stages. and emersed simple humid condition with strong light?
Ok Sorry But it wont work for me then. Sorry! You dont have Dwarg Sag maybe? Sent from my E5823 using Tapatalk
That'd be like taking your average pot plant and replanting it in playpen sand, adding a root stick and expecting the plant to flourish. If you have an inert subs, forget about root tabs. Your money would be wiser spend on water column dosing.... ...and you can grow S. repens with only water column dosing, it's just a more challenging ball game.
I already have trelmix. Going to buy Scape liquid carbon if I don't get CO2 system. Substrate was too expensive for my budget
