Hello, I'm told that Poropanchax normani is a possible import if there is sufficient demand. These are what are commonly used in plantted tanks overseas: tiny fish which are not obtrusive in the 'scape but still stunning. There are some photos at http://images.aquaria.net/tanks/rjs/50L/fish/ but a nicer photo is up at: https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/pZH5ucjQBPP6tbwPsswb-A http://www.shopping-charm.jp/(S(03e4zqurkarqpr3sgmvekeer))/ItemDetail.aspx?tid=05&catId=1317000000&itemId=18626 tt4n
Hi Tyrone Is this the Norman's Lampeye? I have seen them many a times at Loolilocks. Maybe he can get some more and the Cape town guys can bring you some back after the 16th? I had about 10 in my Nano and they are very cool little fish. They even bred.
Sorry, I'm having a senile moment. The fish from the Congo is Poropanchax brichardi: http://www.fishdata.info/p1100/Aplocheilichthys_brichardi/product_info.html?language=en http://magical-creatures.blogspot.com/2009/09/blog-post_3962.html http://www.aka.org/aka/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=412 Not Norman's lampeye... Oops. :-[
They are so beautiful. I'd be interested in taking some. Do you have any idea what the price will be. regards Tamarinda
Hi Tyrone, Have you made any progress as regards these fish? I'd be interested if the pricing can be confirmed. Regards
