That wood is so big you can easily hide a small pump and run a air line tube behind it to let the water drip down or slowly run down the wood. Dril smaal hole from the back to front to stick the pipe half way in the wood and it wont be seen. Just a thought.

    That could work too!
    Adrian, jou biscuit!!!

Ordered a small dosing pump to do the same thing, if the dosing pump doesn't work out I could always use it to dose the ferts and try your plan...

    Thanks for that info Trevor.
About the heat from the lights, that ATI and the 4x T5 tubes does give off a lot of heat.

I'm also finding it very difficult to get new tubes for my light units with higher than 6500k rating...
Apparently manufacturers have stopped producing 8000k tubes and I don't feel like paying pet store prices for their tubes...

So I am considering replacing the tubes with LED tubes... (Found a crowd in Cape Town that supplies them...)
I'll have less of a heat issue then, hopefully...

That will be a good move - with mine, I've had less heat and less evaporation. I'm moving over from chips to downlights now as the downlight lamps are easy to replace and there's not much DIY work that will be done.

Are you looking for a grow tube or normal household tube. I haven't bought in awhile but I use 8800k in my tanks

Good luck trying to find anything other than 6500k anywhere other than in pet stores...
Not paying stupid prices for tubes...

I just paid for 3 downlights and globe fittings - only R402, shipping free. DIY free as well :p Promised myself I would never do LED chips again, too much work into it. and far too much hassle if something goes wrong.

I have been in contact with the JHB branch for the last couple of months and they can't get any stock.

With every shipment they put in a request for stock but they never get anything. They where supposed to get some this seek but nothing was delivered.

So LEDS might have to be our next stop if we can find some tube somewhere besides the LPS

I'm not about to pay ridiculous amounts of money for "grow" tubes. Hopefully I have new spares squirreled away at home...
