    Hi Guys

    want to find out if can use a Normal T5 54 watt 6500k globes on an T5 Odessy light 54 watt unit.
    Will it work and sufficient for growth ?

    You will still need a tube for growing plants like growlux etc. one pink one white.

    Not sure if you have a lamphouse shop in durbs if so you will get what you want from them.

    The Lamphouse usually has osrams, radiums and sylvania. All fine for our tanks. You don't need overpriced "grow" tubes to achieve good results. I think I last paid about R40 for my osrams and radiums and about R130 for my sylvania 54w a month or two ago.

    Yip paid about R180 for a aquastar and Skywhite equivalent radium 2 weeks back. That was 24w bulbs but the price of the slavania bulbs are the same for all wattages.
