Well if he ever comes here again i would mind a copy. PLZ!!!
In spite of my reservations about this document, which I think it is far too simplistic as I have explained above, I still have a copy of the document and I could distribute it to whoever may be interested. I will send it to those persons that have indicated their emails. Other persons can perhaps send me a PM with their email addresses and then I can send it to them. I have one very busy day ahead of me though and deadlines for submission of documents that have to be met this evening, so I will only be able to send this documents out over the weekend.

interesting readings about this "Discus - Complete Doc". I have naturally not seen it, being in Italy, but from what i read what Prof. Billsteadt wrote (and I agree 100% with what he is complaining about the Doc), is the fact of the title of the "publication". How can anyone say it is "complete". Nothing is complete, and when I read such a title in anything, than I even refuse to read it. As the title of it already imposes of not having done their home-work who ever wrote or compiled it.
I work almost on a daily basis with Discus since I was first introduced to them by m mother with the age of 4 in 1948. I have collected Discus since 1964/1965 on a nearly monthly Amazon trip, and have only after 330 field trips into their nature, allowed myself to write a book about the Discus in nature. And only after having done research and collected in more than 380 discus-population-habitats. But even so I would never allow my self to say that this work of 50plus years is "complete", as it can never be (but for sure contains more information than anyone has ever compiled, or ever will). I have even, because of this, added now a new yearly publication, a so called Annual (DISCUSBOOK01 is the first yearly edition), to add on to my big book, to update it every year my new findings and new researched results (as I still do several yearly expedition also into the Amazon, 2-3 now, because I also do research yearly in the other continents in freshwater habitats).
The very same I am doing with the tank bred Discus.I am on it since 1965 and hope finally to print it latest in spring of 2011. I have over a thousands breeders interviewed, worked for 30 years with Schmidt-Focke (we lived very close and he received always my new collected wilds and I sold his offspring almost exclusively - his established strains - into 86 countries). So instead of 50 years this took only 45 years, but will still not be "complete".
I just thought about this when I read the topic, as I found it interesting...
You all have a very healthy and happy new year,
Can you foward a copy
Please send me a copy. firstname.lastname@example.org
Dirk could u mail me a copy plz
can i have one aswell please?
This document was written in 2007, and we have moved on again very considerably since that time. There were already some antiquated statements in that document then, which we know now are just simply incorrect. As a result I would not like to distribute this document to anyone further, I do not want to mislead persons with regard to many aspects which would in actual fact be detrimental to your discus.
