    Welcome to April's photo contest!

    This month's theme encapsulates a very important part of planted (and non planted) aquaria:

    School's (Not) Out!

    This month we want to see a photo of schooling fish. Show us a photo of some schooling fish in any setting.

    For example: A large school of baby P. scalare at Discus World in Carletonville.


    Please don't forget to read the rules. Also, feel free to discuss the theme and ask any questions in this thread, just remember to submit your entry and username to photocontest@APSA.co.za before friday, the 24th of April. Again, that gives you nearly 3 weeks to get your entry in.

    It was actually. The date modified on that photo is 2007/06/11, after I went there with the Jakaranda Aquarium Club.

    Hi guys

    So, we've not had many entries* for this contest, I suspect the topic might have been a bit too tough (getting a good shot of a school of fish is really hard) or a lot of folks were away on holiday causing rampant algae outbreaks :) .

    I can either extend the deadline, or we can move on to the next contest?

    Does anyone have any thoughts or preferences on this?

    I'll also be setting up a suggestion thread for contest themes pretty soon, so that everyone can give ideas.

    Hope we can get this off the ground again,

    it was a bit of both for me, really difficult to get a good pic - and i didnt go anywhere else to get any other decent pics...

    my vote, move on :)

    Agreed with Raymond....move on to next contest topic. I spent some time trying get a decent shot of my shoals but didn't manage
