So I started this tank about 4 months ago.. It's been a huge learning curve for me so I thought I'd share it with u guys:)

14 march 2012. Wasn't sure of the scape.. Thought I'd try anyways..

14 march.. Planted and filled.. No proper filter yet
    [IMG]

17 march. Things clearing up and growing
    [IMG]

    Close up of the left
    [IMG]

Finally got myself a second hand filter
    [IMG]

    21 march, things looking ok
    [IMG]

27 march, things starting not to grow..

6 April, things getting bad. Plants stunting and some plants rotting away..

I finally realize that the stunting and rotting was because of adding Tap water strait into the tank with out dechlor..green water came abt from the rotting plant matter.. Thanks to Raymond for lending me his uv.. It went away in 1.5 weeks. This pic is 18 April
    [IMG]

29 April, things back on track.. But I notice my hair grass HC,HM and brevieps melting/stunting.. I have a suspicion it's because I used too much RO water..

29 may, suspicions confirmed.. Using full dechlor tap sorted my issues with the plants melting..

    5 June.. Growing well
    [IMG]

    After a ug carpet trim..

    A mission as usual
    [IMG]

    Some downoi
    [IMG]

Got some more pics but too lazy to load now.. Will do so some other time.. Hope u guys enjoyed.. It's one more trim and grow away from being complete:)

That looks even better. The heater is a bit of an eyesore.

Nice that you describe all the problems you had along the way. Just shows that even if all goes down the drain, you don't have to brake down and start from scratch again.

There's no where else to put it..I'll take it out when I do a final pic:)

Ya, I forgot to mention that I had a bad case of staghorn and BBA when I added the cardinals:( but I learnt it was from bad filtration. So added some matrix to the filter and? Gone:)
