Thanks vic....I've tried a couple more things on the photography side of things to produce better quality pics. I got this Betta from Zombie this past Friday morning...he is quite a happy little chappy now in his own tank. The tank measurement is 30x23x22.5 (in cm; length - height - width). Substrate is just fine silica sand with a small plant that yet needs to grow. I put 2 nails in the sand to promote quicker growth...just thought I'd give the nails a go and see if it makes a difference. In my books, that is the minimum dimensions that Bettas should be kept in. I've seen too many cases where people house them like its a prison...very sad

Thanks a lot mate, he will be tried for spawning probably in 1 month. I must say that I am very happy with him because he is so lively. Hopefully within 3 weeks or so I'll start to see a bubblenest in his tank...sufice to say that he will immediately be transferred to my spawning tanks
