wolf's 90cm optic-white

    hi all
    i always wanted a 90 optic-white, newer got the money to get it still don't :laughing7:
    bud i have this friend that did get him the glass never build the tank so it got a chip here and there (2) from standing there.
    he sold the glass to me and the next morning wen builders opened there doors i got the silicone and tape and then this happened

    and 30min later walla

    then i had to wait 4 days for it to set, wen i goeld cut of the exes silicone

    then i poet the lights back on and stared at it fore a day

    then i got the camping mat fore under and back

    then came the thinking part [​IMG]

    this is how it looked to day

    getting more ug on theusday trading it fore downi
    so will plant and take pics age an with a camera this time not my cellphone
    specs you ask well 90x45x45 10mil optiwhite
    canister tettra ex1200 DIY CO2 reactor 2bps from my 10kg supplying all my tanks
    4x39w t5 2x ski white 2x groulaxs
    7 ours fore now
    firts EI all the way
    what you all think? :wave:

    Good job - love the DIY ... yeah I want a supplier for optiwhite glass - would not mind starting to replace some of my smaller tanks. With more purpose build opti's.

    I have looked at the camping mat idea before - not sure it is better or worse than polystyrene for the base. Using it for the back is cool - also does a bit of insulation. I might just borrow the idea for insulation and colour all in one. Are you glueing it to the back or do you have some butterfly clips doing the job ( I use them for every thing around the fish room).

    Just selotape you van see the roll in the pic.
    Use the 12mil camping mat all my tank are on them. I think they work

    my next project is a 1.2 opti seeing the gf said no more tanks so i said ok but then i am upgrading mine

    would have dane it the same evening bud my silicone was open and don't want to use old silicone on this one
