    Hi guys

I seem to have some sort of relay for my WellPoint pump. Why? It’s a omron mk2p-s. Any help on it’s function and where I can get another as it blew.

It converts 220 volt to 12 volt. Weird that you need one for a wellpoint, would have thought it's 220v

I have a hunter irrigation system and it’s somehow involved in switching on my pump when it goes through the watering cycles. I could hear it click as it switched on.

Searches on the net say it’s discontinued so I’ll need a modern equivalent. Guess I need to go to Voltex?

    Morning @Joshua Tree
Yes the relay is discontinued. RS components do sell the replacement relay. The no. is 536-887.(RS stock no)
Digi-key do sell the mk2p-s relay. for that you can contact NuVision Electronics in Capetown.
    Hope this helps

    Pieter

PS. @ Hendre its not a converter. Its n control cercuit(12v) that switch the 220v on ore off. Coil = 12v and contacts=220v

its a common relay, ACDC or any electrical hardware store should have it in stock.
There must have been or still is a float attached to a storage tank or automated control of some sort otherwise I cant really see why you would need one.
could you take a photo perhaps?

@mattie - it closes the circuit of my pump getting power at watering times.

I replaced the holder and everything is working again. They tested the relay and it was fine. Thanks ACDC
