    A friend of mine is building a Koi pond and want's to use watercress as a purifier.

    Anbody have any idea where he can get some from. He is willing to pay.

    woolworths, get some fresh stems and plant them..

    Won't they die? or need roots?

    As I kid I used to pick up watercress from the fast rivers, hard to see it nowadays..

    Nope...easy way of propagating Watercress from cut stems...always told my clients to go buy a bag from Woolies, chuck it in an old onion baggie with a piece of polystirene to make it float and leave it in their settlement chambers or filters to get growing... then chuck it in the pond for the koi to nibble on... Watercress a great source of Vitamin C and Iron...

    Took me a while to understand what you meant by a "onion baggie" .. :)

    A mesh.. so put in a mesh and leave to float and that is it?
