Hi guys and girls Okay so this is a bit overboard but hey. their is no such thing as to much filtration. So this time i built a waterchange filtration system. Very easy to use as it works with taps to control the waterflow. It has 2 sediment filters and 2 carbon filters. so i would be getting nice clean water for my waterchanges. when i want to get the water out. I close tap 1 and 3 and open tap 2. so then i bypass the filtration. when i pump water back in i open 1 and 3 and close 2. so then the water goes through the filtration. sketch real life product
Have now got the same, but just used two bigger 600 units one charcoal and one sediment, also want to automate it ... The Waterboy suggested and set it up that it goes through the Charcoal first then sediment, which I could not really understand the reason for
This is awesome! Would the carbon take out any BGA/cyano that could be in the water supply? If you don't mind, what kind of costs would I be looking at in making/buying one?
For the Waterboy 600mm units including a spare refill each, about R1700 I seem to remember for both units.. Speak to Marco, ships countrywide http://www.thewaterboy.co.za
hope you have a big sponge on your pump or maybe a mini HMF of sorts ... my sediment filter experiment clogged up in no time .. but boy did it polish the water.
LOL - ok my bad ... yeah then this is a bit of an overkill .. .3micron plus carbon and a UV is all that is needed ... been doing this for years with the counter top water unit.
