Lime will increase hardness, but SA water is soft.. so it will balance out.. cannot be worse than the UK.. :)

I fill the tank half way, the flamingo substrate is too light.. I may replace it, need to see how it holds.. good substrate for nanos.. I may also put some flourite on top, which was too loose for my liking.. :)

    Thanks..

The Flamingo substrate I had to take half out, it is too light.. good for nanos, very small caviar pebbles, but I need to now cap the back with some dark gravel, a bit bigger.

In two to three weeks will get the fish, need the tank to cycle.

    Tank was filled up.

I mixed gravel with La Plata Sand, 80 to 20 parts, La Plata Sand is too nice for this scape.

    So plant list is:
    - Crytp Wenditti Tropica
    - Flame moss
    - Petite Java Fern
    - Crispatula
    - Hygrophila Corymbosa

Wood is Cape vine roots, and rocks are Juju stone. :)

The heater is too big, so I put it in the front, till I go to the shops and buy a smaller one for the back.

Also when the weather heats up I will remove the heater.

The Corymbosa will be replaced with a stick of wood, but need to first get the stick ready, so the plant is there to keep the space open.

Looking nice so far. Are you going to put moss on the wood or leave it bare (the one which will be replacing the Corymbosa)?

The wood will be with moss.. I have placed the wood and left the corymbosa in, will remove it later if it becomes a nuisance.. Will take some new pictures.

Went to the shop, got two Otos, and some Glowlight tetras.. was supposed to get the rainbows, but could not resist to the glowlight tetras..

    http://www.seriouslyfish.com/species/hemigrammus-erythrozonus/

As the tank conditions I may move the glowlight tetras to another tank and then get the rainbows, but for now I am really enjoying the tetras.. :)

The tank needs to clear a bit more, and plants now need to grow.

I like the rainbows, but a shoal of glowlights is really nice to look at. I need to get some more.
