R.I.P - Eva jumped the tank a couple of weeks ago. Tiny little fry I found yesterday morning. R.I.P - Eva jumped tank a month or so ago
@Vis - yes, plenty of attitude for such small little fish. Two of my males had a stand-off this morning. Was a sight to behold. One day... I would like a tank full of them.
Unfortunately my little fry did not make it. One of two options I guess, the sudden drop in temperature or lack of nutrition. Guess the walter worms were too big for it to consume. What food can be offered to such small fry?
My threadfins are displaying magnificently today! So wish I could get a decent shot but they don't like the lens of the camera! My badis is definitely a bit more camera friendly! My Apistos is also extremely spiteful this morning! He usually loves the camera. Not a good photo but it shows how beautifully his colour is developing.
Not the best of photos, they prove to be a bit fast for me at feeding time, but what I found interesting was one of my Otos "cleaning" one of the Corys.
I'm really heartbroken on this side. My Cacatuoides - Flash - died on Friday for no reason that I was able to determine. He was fine Thursday night and then on Friday morning when I switched on the lights to feed him, he didn't come out. I called him but did not get any response. Found him in the corner of the tank breathing heavily. Around 11 he responded when I called him but by 4 he was dead. He was really the fish with the most personality I've ever had. The fact that he responded to me calling him by name made him a very dear and interesting fishy companion. My bedroom tank feels empty and desolate and matches my mood.
Just be careful regarding that Oto...I've read some reports (how true, I dont know) that if there's not enough algae or vegetable matter for Oto's they might go for fish's slime coats... Like I said...how true this is, I dont know...have read it on some forums though...
How do you know he didn't make it...maybe he's still somewhere in the tank... PS. Sorry to hear about your fishy
Love the fish you're keeping, really stunning. Would be cool to see some more of dem pics! Especially the threadfins and badis
