I am one of the few who love my MTS, they are my clean-up crew during the evenings. When the light is on they are all digging around in the sand. But when the light goes off the bottom of my entire tank begins too move as they clean up after my fish.
hahaha you see! if people knew about the snails and their benefits when they buy a tank, they wouldn't mind them as much
Where can I get some of these Malaysian snails I have a lot of ramshorns but with the planned sand substrate I am thinking that to avoid my plant roots becoming "killed" in the sand these guys can be a good thing yes?
I have plenty of MTS in my tank which I will be stripping down in July when I move. If you send me a PM with your details I am quite happy to pop a few in a bottle for you and send em. They are awesome and the best snails for tanks in my opinion. I've never had issues with them, and I figure they only work well in the substrate. I have to say though, all my aquasoil has over the past year ended up pretty much on top of the pool filter sand with all the snail activity... but the plants are growing and the fish are healthy so who am I to complain!
