Hi All, been in and out of the hobby due to lack of inspiration and time Its not easy for me to do planted tank here in Mozambique but its hard to let go too. here is once more another attempt of my 60p. This is the setup Second part is the filling up, water change and progress over four week. Hope you enjoy it. Cheers Steve
Thanks guys. In all honesty I am struggling with the red plants in this tank. I just increased the lights now from 6 to 8. BBA started to appear, so now I need to tweak c02.
That grew in very nicely indeed! Can't help with the BBA, but curious what lights, ferts, substrate and rate of CO2 you're using?
Thanks for the interest. Light is ADA aquasky 602. I started with 5hrs photoperiod. Fertz is EI, i.e when I don't forget, but the soil is also fertile it is a replica of ADA soil. C02 I usually don't count the bubbles anymore but I would say more or less 2bps. Hope that helps. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
No, unfortunately it's a commercial one from China . I did try DIY before but it's too much work. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
What are you thinking of adding, plant wise? What I have learned with aquascaping, dont be shy with using hardscape, the more the better, maybe it looks out of place now, but when plants grow in, hardscape tends to fade away and disapeare.
Thanks Maurice for your input. I hear you. You are right the plants will take over in the long run and hide the hardscape. The issue with newbie like me, I try to collect all sorts of plants . Will listen to your advise and will try to keep at least the roots clear. Maybe it will keep the contrast. Think it is a bit too late for me to place more hardscape... Will take it into consideration for future scape. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
