hi guys, used to be BIG time into jdm cars. Going to try this now. I am a complete novice
Hey yakuza welcome to APSA , your not alone I'm also a car guy turned to the aquarium side. You have a lot of help here..
I'm still a car guy... No harm in doing both!
What car do you have? Did you have?
Welkom hier by APSA
Welcome to APSA
Hi and welcome.
welcome to APSA!
Welcome to APSA, Enjoy the Ride!
Welcome to the more eco friendly side of life...LOL
If you have a tank already...start a thread with some specs (photos if possible...we LOVE photos on here)
Thanks for the warm welcome. No harm in being both except your pocket.had 1996 Nissan GT-R 32 sadly sold now.
Ok here are some images. Wood is soaking, and tank is here. The idea is to create a bonsai ish tree in the middle with moss on the the spider wood I added to the drift wood, with ground cover. So not too planted I'm still learning. I have a million questions. Like will this filter work? Lighting sufficient ? The pump I'm using is 2000l/h and it has 2 t8 bulbs
Looks like an interesting tank. Planting may be a nightmare with the depth though. Also lighting and flow are things that you will need to consider.
You can make something nice.. how?
Moss, ferns and anubias.. ferns attached to rocks and dropped at the bottom.. moss and anubias on the wood.. all creeping up..
I am a bit worried about the filter system, and advice on what to get?
So I need help..... What filter media to put in where?
This is a trickle filter? Water gets pumped into the top compartment and drains through the layers and out at the bottom?
If so I would put:
Top basket - batting/filter wool, sponge
Middle basket - matrix, ceramic noodles, the balls that are currently there...
Bottom basket - Purigen and things like coral (if you run CO2), activated carbon (if you want to remove meds or polish your water), more matrix...
Oh yes, I've never used a trickle filter so this is my assumption...
Correct it's a trickle filter, will this be ok to run in a semi planted tank ? The pump will cycle the water 6 times a hour. Also no CO2 if I need I'll get....
