    Hi All

Thanks for the quick replies :laughing7:

OK so my list could be rather large but here are a few to give an idea of what i am thinking of bringing in:
    Leopard frog Pleco
King Tiger Zebra Pleco - L236
    Queen Arabesque Pleco - L260
Emperor Tetra (& Black & Blue Emperor)
    Penguin Tetra
    Glass blood fin Tetra
    Ember Tetra
    Blue King Tetra
Rasbora's (not sure yet which ones)
    Peacock Goby
    Pacific blue-eye
    Pink Mickey Mouse Platy

I will only be able to confirm prices once i know how many of what i am ordering. As for the question of quarantine- this i will do and the fish will only be available once complete, unless you order a large quantity and want to quarantine them yourself. Please note i stay in Kensington, JHB.

Hope this helps and sorry to not put in the scientific names as then the list would be rather large....

    Thanks tons :)

Stiphodon percnopterygionus (4) won't find a common name. This it it.
Or any other Stiphodon spp. other than S.atropurpureus (Sumatran blue neon Goby)
Sewellia spp. (6) Or so to say any Hillstream loach.
    Peacock Goby (4)
    Otocinclus cocama (4) Zebra Otto

All depending on prices, of course. Please let us know.
I assume you'd be able to ship it down to CT?

I would be interested in the Ember tetras and the Leopard Frog Pleco.

    Two questions:

    1) Will you be able to give us an idea of prices before we order (even if it's an estimate), and

    2) Is there a big size difference between the Leopard Frog Pleco and the King Tiger Zebra Pleco?

    Thanks!

    Hi All

Green Guppy: No there wont be much difference in size with the Pleco's but they will be small - around the 4cm size. I will work out some basic prices but due to the Rand jumping around it will only be a ball park figure ..... Sorry!!

Razer2007: Sorry but my supplier does not have any Stiphodon percnopterygionus, the only Goby is the Peacock. Also no Sewellia but i am also interested so am making some inquiries... for the Zebra Otto i am also finding out :)

For all that are wondering this is a past passion/hobby and I am starting a small import as SA does not seem to have the variety or exotics are too hard to find. I love the variety available in USA and South America but nobody seems to bring in the good stuff and i am tired of most of the usual selection!! Everything i want to import will be captive bred not wild caught - for those of you that this makes a difference.

    Cheers for now :)

What other fancy Ancistrus can you get ?
    +1 for captive bred

Are there no Stiphodon species? Any will do.
You can look for any Hillstream loaches under Gastromyzon, Pseudogastromyzon, Beaufortia, Sewellia.
I could also be interested in some of the dwarf rainbowfishes like Pseudomugil spp.
    Clown Pleco/Panaque - Panaqolus maccus (1)
Garra Flavarata - Panda Garra (1)

Just get the prices before ordering anything, obviously.

And please confirm about shipping to CT? If you do, then lets try to ship all the CT members' fish together to save on costs.

    Sorry for the long list.

Now that would be special, they are like hen's teeth here and not cheap, depending on the cost I would jump at a shoal, actually swim if necessary !

    Hi All

Sorry about the slow response from me "“ I had to wait for answers from suppliers before I could prepare a probable list for my first import. [glow=red,2,300]All the below prices I have listed are APPROXIMATE only as the final price depends on many variables such as the dollar exchange rate, customs costs, and so on.[/glow] These prices are also only if collected in JHB. We will gladly pack and courier any order to you, but of course these extra costs would be for you, and we will get quotes on request.

Unfortunately we are not able to get hold of L046 Zebra Pleco’s right now (the breeder expects to have new stock early in the new year at a cost of about R1500.00). We can however get the L236 King Tiger Zebra Pleco (Regular) with a size of about 3.5 cm for around R950.00. Anyone interested?? (we will bring them in with this shipment if anybody orders).

The Leopard Frog Pleco (L134) is also unfortunately sold out but will be available in the new year at a size of: 3.5cm and a cost of around R460.

Slagter enquired about the Coral/Red Pencilfish "“ we can get the Beckford Pencilfish at a size of 2.5cm, this would cost around R14.50

My list for this import is as follows:

    PLECO’S "“ Size about 3.5 cm
    L02 - Tiger - R365.00
    L201 - Orinoco Angel - R290.00
    L270 - Chocolate Zebra - R390.00
    L333 - King Tiger "“ R520.00
    Brushmouth Albino "“ 2.5cm "“ R19.00
    Veil Tail Brushmouth "“ 2.5cm "“ R22.50

    OTHER
    Black Emperor Tetra "“ 2.5 cm - R12.00
    Blue King Tetra - 3 cm - R12.00
    Ember Tetra - 2 cm - R12.00
    Peacock Goby - 5 cm "“ R13.50
    Pacific Blue Eye "“ 2.5 cm "“ R12.50
    Pink Mickey Mouse Platy - +2.5 cm "“ R9.50

The above is just the first of many shipments and we welcome all suggestions/orders 

    Thanks tons
    Fiona

Wow those prices are amazing. I will definitely take some Peacock Gobies.
So those are the only fish in the first import? And they will be quarantined before selling? I guess you make a little bit of profit with it, since you are going through all the trouble?

For future imports, my other list still stands: Stiphodon spp and Hillstream loaches always welcome.

When must we indicate our orders? I want 7 Peacock Gobies and 13 of the Pencilfish, if possible.
