Once again my poor fish need torches to see in the dark, plants are growing out of control. Got to do some serious pruning this weekend. Especially for beginners there will be plenty of the following ( nice and easy quick growers ) :- Hygrophila Polysperma Rotala Rotundifolia Tonina Belem A small clump of Crypt Wenditii Regards Roger
Hi Rodger, Hehe your fish living in darkness wow you probably need a serious serious trim Can I have first dibs on the hygrophila Polysperma, I dig this plant plenty. I see the Tonina Belem needs high light and acidic subtrate, what is your setup. I might try and grow them I got first dibs on some of it also. And any other fast growers you might have maybe some sunset hygro Can you keep some for me till next weekend, we are going this weekend. Would really appreciate it lots
Will also keep some belem for you. The tank that has the carpet of belem and rotala is a very basic 25 litre. HOB, 2 x 8 watt tubes, heater, basic gravel, nothing special. Excel daily , Flourish and potassium weekly with water change. Fauna 4 x guppies a handful of threadfin rainbows and a highfin ancestrous lastly a skunk botia ( no snails - wish I could catch him and put him in one of my other tanks - toooooo fast - too much decoration you know what I mean - too lazy to dismatle everything ).
Sweet man thanks a mil really appreciate it(hope your some is a nice big bunch ) Nice man cannot wait to come get it next week
