Here is a funny fact but I could never keep a snail alive. They have a very limited life span in my tanks.
    Fish are fine for years.
I suspect I always lived around places with very soft water and this eventually cause the snail shell to thin away and it dies.

    Welcome. Hectic setup!

Are your water changes done with borehole water?

I want to again thank you ,for making us new comers welcome to this forum .
Yes I mature borehole water for my egg layers , but not for my live bearers as they are bred in large ponds and I do small % water changes.

    Thanks .
My outside ponds have lots of plants in andit looks great .
I don't have any display tank in my house , as my wife will kill me . 90% of my tanks are made with 8-12 mm glass and I get a 300 liter tank for R900. The LPS in Pretoria North build tanks custom made for between R5 -R6 per liter of water no glass thinner than 8mm , this very very cheap and he makes good quality tanks complete wit sumps and stands .

If you want to breed rams you need to speak to I guy called Marco, he has even created a few of his own strains.

Galaxy Rasboras (Danio margaritatus) could be a very profitable avenue

Thanks I have considered it before but couldn't find breeding stock at that moment , you know where I could get a few .
This will work well as I breed all GMO danios available , have anyone around JHB or PTA seen any purple , blue or red danios for sale .

Doesn't look like there's enough space on the 2nd row to work comfortably?

There is about 350 mm space between the top tanks and the ISO Board (ceiling) , should be enough to place spawning tubs , catch and clean . I am going over to gas heating next winter , so I would like to utilize all space available.
This room will house 100 plus tanks of 200 liter and 13 flow bins of 400 liter for barbs, 36 x 30 liter tanks for ancistrises . Some of my 6 month old baby angels in outside IMG_20160929_141355.jpg IMG_20160929_141345.jpg growing dams.

Great setup! What type of filtration do you use on the tanks? What do you feed the Angels from free swimming through to adult?

The blue drums in the back is some of my filters and I use 70 liter buckets , I use old used vegetable nylon bags in my filters as a medium with filter wool as first layer . Nothing fancy but I do a lot of water changes due to the high volume of fish per dam , as much as 2 fish per liter depending on size and species mostly 1 / liter .
I feed baby brine shrimp for the first 3 weeks slowly weaning them of to very fine granules . I grind the granules myself to the correct size I need for all size fish (ou koffie meulle, with electrical motor) it works great.
