From what I gather they like ultra ultra smooth surfaces to lay on as I see nothing on any plant leaves only in a few clusters or patches on my plastic conduit that seperately my AS from the regular gravel
Nope nothing on tank glass, I recon if there was a piece of PVC piping in the tank it would be a win for sure, dark inside the tube, clean , outside full of Algea for food .... Hmmm
Going to cut me some PVC now, not sure as my tanks temp is usually very stable so I'm not sure how outdoor temps would affect it
Ok so in doing this via tapatalk as no PC at the moment. First KH,GH,nitrates and pH I cannot tell you as my test kits are ancient and more than likely be totally wrong. Plants: HC, DHG, marsilea, glosso, stauro, cobra grass, vallis mini, bacopa, hydrocotyle, ludwigia repens, fissidens, kwagaoeanum. Rocks: smooth grey ones and pelindaba Substrate: AS, play sand and fine fish gravel. Filtration: canister filter with eheim filter media. Flow: tunze nano stream Pressurized CO2 and airation for 6 hours after CO2 switches off. Lighting: 3x 250w 8000k metal halides, on from 12noon till 7pm
Super nice! My ottos grow super fat from time to time, but I never manage to spot any eggs. I think the other fishies might nom it all. I heard from an LFS once that Ottos are seasonal. Which is, according to them, why they are so super scarce most of the year.
WRT old tests, they might still work. I went and bought new test kits over the weekend and compared them to the old test kits I had, and the results are the same.
Weather conditions: HOT As hell outside @Vis how about I send you banking details instead so you can make big big deposit
My test kits are like 4years old.... I never test anymore so it would be a waist for me to go spend dosh for nothing
Thanks for the info I didn't know that, yeah the eggs look so fat and juicy they would certainly make a quick snack for other fish.
