That tank would look epic with a whole lot of vallisneria!
What fish were you thinking of getting?
This is what I'm working towards! going to add the Vallisneria to the back of the tank and some java moss here and there on the ship.
I already have 2 Bala Sharks and a Pleco. Also some Tetras, guppies and danios to add to the tank
It would've been nice If I could add a school of neon tetras but they are so expensive in Bloem and also most are sick fish. Not worth it...
Not the best choice of fish for a planted tank but, if this is your first tank, I'd say do it and learn from your mistakes. At the end of the day, it has to be something you are proud of.
This is not my first tank. I already have all the fish in the smallet (120 L) tank so going to move them to the bigger tank (300L)

I know its not the best fish for a planted tank but I bought the bala shark and pleco long before I started with plants. I love them and do not want to get rid of them. about 2 weeks ago someone gave me his bala shark that was bullied by his other fish. I also got an eel this wkend!!! sooooo excited. so thinking of putting the bigger fish in the big tank and keeping the smaller fish in the 120L with plants. hoping the eel and pleco is okay with each other.
My pleco seems to be okay with the vallis in the 120L tank. It doesn't bother him / her much.
The tank is up and running with 1 fish in.
I've added some plants about a month ago
What it looks like now - with 2 red hi-fin lyretail swords in (1 male and 1 female) hopefully I'll have a lot of babies soon
