    The stand is 1.8 but my tank is 1.2
    I will put a glass top on it.

    That's a nice dimension to start with. Glass top for the tank or the stand?

    I'm going to put a glass top on the stand, then my aquarium goes onto that with a sheet of foam rubber in between.

    Hope it works! Personally I'd be worried with a 250l without a serious solid base, it could fall through?

    250l is a lot of water. A solid wooden panel should work! You just don't want the tank falling through :eek:

    why not just weld the stand instead of all those fancy brackets .
