Thanks Lloydster. I have been wanting to start my new thread for my 300l but was having problems posting pics on this tank. I also don't know how to get specific peoples attention on this forum. Do we use the @ sign in front of their names?

I am currently dosing Seachems essentials and fundementals as per the instructions on the side of the bottles. I have only started with planted tanks in July so very new to all this. I placed Flourish tablets in a 10cm radius in the gravel when I first set it up.

    Hi Joshua
when you reply to a post look near the top of the page. you will see "TAG Somebody" just type in there user name and they will be notified about your thread.

seachem essentials is trace right? iron, excel and.....????

    your plants feeding requirements are.
    macro's/ micro's and a carbon source (CO2)

basically your main plant nutrition(macro's) is NPK Nitrate(nitrogen) Phosphate(phosphorus) K (Potassium) the ratio is normally 20:1:10 N:p:K
then(micro's) is Iron (Fe) witch is your trace mix. this also includes manganese, copper, baron, molybednum ect.

there is soooooo much to explain but, i must get back to work. :(
please have a look at the link below. it should help you out with some Q's you have
