Keep an eye on your other fish but in my experience GBR can hold their own against most fish. So jealous!

Thanks for the pics and good luck. Are you going to leave them with their parents?

Congrats @jody ... always nice feeling seeing fry in one's tank :D Be careful not to remove the fry too soon...as they wont show any parental behaviour when they adult and have their own offspring.

You feeding them what at this point?

lol. im not feeding any of my fish much. i feed maybe twice a week. they nip at the algae on my plants and eat the algae when i scrape it off the glass. i feed brine shrimp and bloodworm about once a week.
when i feed brine shrimp or bloodworm a third usually goes to waste

    sad news

on the third day, the babies are nowhere to be seen.
i got home on Tuesday to see the mother watching over the babies while they were nipping at the moss.
the lights went off and it looked like they all dove down in the moss. that was the last time i saw them.
i left the filter off yesterday to prevent them from getting sucked up just in case any survivors went near the intake.
the temp fluctuation from standing still probably killed them.

This was unfortunately my experience on numerous occasions with GBR. I even tried leaving a night light on for them but...

    Sorry to hear.

Not 100% sure but I think the parents eat them as some sort of weird protection.

    I got a surprise.
    They have more babies.
Round 2. I'm keeping 6 in a breeder tank and not changing any water chemistry. Keeping the lights on normal times and not switching the pump off like before.
