    Hi everyone

The APSA Team is proud to announce that APSA now has two aquarium related calculators, the APSA Fertiliser Calculator and the APSA Volume Calculator.

The Volume Calculator is available to everyone, whilst the Fertiliser Calculator is only for APSA members.

We hope you find them both easy to use and useful.

    Kind regards,
    The APSA Team

That's very cool! Good to see a calculator for locally available ingredients!

The second row in the results section - are those target ranges? Might be helpful to label these.

I'm glad you guys like it.

That was our motivation for putting "another fertiliser calculator" onto the internet.

I'll work on some kind of label for those target ranges.

    Back to the grindstone... :D

Ok, that's weird... The fert calculator doesn't work for me... It just loads a blank page...

    The volume calculator works fine...

I just made some changes to it to include Foo's suggestion.

What goes wrong Sean? It seems to be working fine for me. Does it give an error or anything? Do you have javascript enabled?

EDIT: very sneaky ninja edit there :D Glad it's sorted now.

    Ah.

I just tried with Firefox 3.5 as well, I also get a blank page. Same with IE6. Something else to fix then :D

It seems to be working with Chrome.

Cool... Glad it's not just me then. Let us know when we can try again...

    How do you find Chrome?

I uploaded an older version of it that works in chrome, IE and Firefox. Give it a go, but don't be surprised to see some layout issues :D

Chrome is ok, I prefer all the extra functionality that Firefox has but I really hate it when I realise that everything has slowed down, only to find that firefox is using more than 300MB ram.

It should be all fixed now.

That'll teach me to change stuff on the fly like a cowboy without testing it :D

    Cool, labels look good!

    Works in FF3.5.5...

Yeah, not sure when FF became a memory hungry beast... When I find my laptop swapping from disk like crazy I know my Firefox is using 1GB of mem again! Time for a FF reboot! hehe.

take the amount that it works out for you and divide by three, then dose this on monday wednesday friday, or sunday tuesday thursday, whatever....

the amount of ferts you need to dose is dependent on how much light you have, how warm your water is, how densely planted your tank is. the amounts calculated just put you in the recommended ballpark for EI...

Looks good, but you mention Potassium sulphate as one of the additives yet you show the formula for calcium carbonate. Please correct this before errors are made.

    Kind regards,

    Dirk
