About a month ago I bought 4 of these pretties.
Now I am the first to admit that it was an impulse buy on the day. (This type of thing happens when you have a 1.5m tank and not quite sure what to put in there.

Anyway though I'd share this pic with you.

A month on these are some of my favorite fish. They are very inquisitive and will always come and check me out if I walk past the tank.

    No worries Andre.
The Ctenopoma will live in the 1.2 until they are too big to fit in the Gar's mouth.
    Funny how these gars operate.
They are vicious predators that will chase anything small enough to fit into it's mouth until they catch it. The moment something is too big to fit in their mouth they do not even bother with it.
Also they hardly ever go deeper than 20cm below the surface.
