hi guys lets try break the record of 18 users on line at one time .I think the record was set on the 18 january .lets set up a time and date and see how many users we can get on line at same time :wow
Set a date and time (in APSA peak time) and invite all members by e-mail to lock in at the decided time. :doo Shoot everybody that does not come onboard. The e-mail must have instructions to have the member set an alarm to remind him/her of the "appointment".
The way this record usually gets broken is when someone starts a particularly interesting thread. Probably best to just leave it to chance, if we plan it, it doesn't really count then right?
20! Who was part of that? I still feel a date & time should be set, so it can be a group effort. The GROUP OF 63, for instance, was started by co-ordination, not chance. When they count the spectators in a rugby stadium, they count them on a Saturday, not on Monday or... just an opinion. :hippy: peace!
but if its broken by chance its so much better, it means people wanted to be online, not arranged to be so by obligation...
Ya I definitely agree with Hellraiser, that way its more of a true reflection of the traffic on the site
Well I run a business and when we want to advertise on forums we look at the forum statistics and based on that make a call on whether it is worth it for us to advertise on that particular site. Trying to set a figure by inviting forum users to log on at a particular date and time would defeat the purpose of said statistics as it is not natural forum traffic. This can also be very misleading for people like myself who actually use these statistics. Just my 2cents.
