Apologies for slacking off a "bit" with my TOTM duties guys, 2018 just started off with a bang and as of yet I still haven't recovered.

My issues I know, but at least it gave everyone enough time to get their tanks in order right? We'll see I guess :p

So...get your nominations in for March peeps...

    Have fun :confused2:

Thanks guys, I have to confess I can't take all the credit for 'Soup Scape', that must go to @Dirk B and his many years of experience as well as you kind folk for all the tips and encouragement..

    No Trev,

I think that only you can take credit for that scape. You do not have to be so shy and reserved, it is really something special. Those rocks in the middle just clinch it. And the cardinals in the middle (of the soup) are really phenomenal. That lighting must be very special to achieve something like this. It must be those special ferts that just cause that extra bit of growth that makes it so special. Trev, to achieve something like this you are somewhere between a miracle and a phenomenon. Just keep it up, we are inspired.

    Kind regards,

    Dirk

    Hi Deadpool

I have found that the guys and girls usually think their tanks are not good enough while they are sometimes beautiful. I also think that the bulk of us aspire to maybe be good enough to set up a tank that is halfway that of many of the previous TOTM winners.

So, do we have a "minimum standard" for TOTM tanks or can it be a mechanism to encourage beginners if they do well or even win it? How about a re-invite to all to nominate their tanks regardless of their skills or experience?

My 2c to keep TOTM alive.

    Cheers
    Philip

Don't think there is a minimum standard if you feel like someones tank is worthy nominate the tank. But i think people just don't nominate. Most of the time it will only be deadpool that nominate because no one nominate. And also not alot of people update their tanks always the same people.

I struggle with getting nice photos uploaded with the size thing. Other than that my best looking tank cracked so I need to wait a while

Ok, how about a little experiment then. I know the tanks already submitted are beautiful bet lets try in anyway?

@Hendre , @Adrian and @Slasher I nominate a shot of your best tank you have at the moment. Ill will also submit (if I'm allowed) whatever I have at the moment. It is a fairly new tank but lets go. will take a pic tonight.

Maybe just maybe we are all underrating our tanks, and maybe just maybe this opens the door for other guys that are hesitant to nominate to do so. Not all of us are Amano but we sure love the hobby as much.

@Hendre , Im sure Paint can do the job, else you are welcome to email me you photo to resize.

Anyone else keen to join the experiment? @Dirk B, I don't think I've ever seen any of your tanks?

    Cheers
    Philip
