Doesn't seem to say freshwater shrimps are illegal or is this list an add on to an existing list?

if i look at the plant list, there are trees on there like privets that have been declared alien invaders for more than 10 years, so i dont think it is an add on list...

    we will have to see...

I believe these updates are to reflect new names and findings based on invasive spieces from around the world.
Plecos are banned because they've been very naughty in Hawaii and Florida for instance and those wicked little privets still haven't cleaned up their act.
Various qualified people have had a hand in it including the professor?
I believe Julius Malema was keen to get white people put on the Schedule 3 list because of the damage they've done in places like Bishopscourt, Knysna, and Sandton, and evidence that the South African subspieces in particular has been highly invasive in Australia and New Zealand.
I was told it will come into affect in March, and if you need a permit apparently they cost two bottles of Johnny Walker Blue Label.
    :)

Obviously they are illegal until the new list comes into effect.
