Well it is growing like a weed so it might possibly so we can talk deal
They were sold to me as Hillstream loaches, but they camo nicely especially on driftwood.
I am under the impression that its synonyms for the same fish but I could be mistaken
Been leaving my plants and letting them go wild:
Also seems my Aponogeton Longiplumulosus is about to bloom:
My Echinodorus "Ozelot Green" decided to flower while I was in Capetown:
Haven't been giving the tank the attention it needed, being retrenched needing to find a job and starting a new job has taken most of my time. But all things considered ain't looking too bad:
Decided to invest in a proper canister filter, will the Seachem HOB as a back should something happen to the canister filter:
Installed an external CO2 reactor with my DIY CO2 setup to see if it is any better than my current system and so far it looks good. The suction cup and mounting mechanism is terrible but I managed to make it work using some cable ties:
@larch how much did you pay for that external reactor?
R350 @ jungle aquatics. Been running for 24 hours so far no issues. Will see what my drop checker has to say when I get back home.

Not to badly priced, remember one thing dont really rely on your drop checker. rather focus on your pH, do you have a pH pen?you should be getting a full point pH drop so measure pH before CO2 on e.g 8.4 and then measure pH again by lights on it should have dropped down by 1 unit to 7.4 this is how proper CO2 is measured. Good luck and keep us posted.
pH pens we get here aren't very accurate due to poor quality electrodes, they just don't work too well in our water. Compared to liquid and upmarket probes the cheapie pens are off by about 1.0
either way you will still get a 1 pH drop with pen being unreliable lol got mine of ebay
Had to install a spring valve as the normal valve got flooded by water from the external CO2 diffuser...
Also, plants are going ape especially the Echinodorus "Ozelo" Green
Got a new inhabitant:
My plants are going absolutely nuts:
Found an Eheim Liberty on the cheap was sold at a discount because the box has seen better days picked it up for just over R 200, can never have enough filtration:
Replaced all the transparent tubing for my canister filter with black ones so it looks better and doesn't show the dirt build-up as easily:
Stunning Larch, where did you find the black pipes for your canister? and how much were they?
Wazeer's in Boksburg was R 75 for 3 meters.
