Looking awesome bud, where do you get the bamboo that you put in the hob? Love the idea! Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
Need to find a place that sells citric in bulk though... I have unlimited access to sugar/yeast since my wife bakes a lot.
I've already solved that problem for us https://www.funwithsoap.co.za/product/speciality-chemicals/citric-acid-1kg/
Pick n pay sell citric acid at R18 for 100g. So you will need 200g= R36 and it should last 2 or 3 weeks Sent from my SM-A700F using Tapatalk
So I set up the entire thing last night using Citric Acid/ Bicarb will take pictures this afternoon only finished up late last night. Few things I noticed: 1. Investing in the DIY kit was well worth it, for the R250 I get way more control and I can now control the bubble count. 2. My normal sugar yeast mix lasted me around 2 weeks. And unlike the Citric Acid/ Bicarb there is no way to stop the reaction or put it on pause like with this mix so it should last me more than a month since I can just close the turn off valve. 3. I just just miss the 1 bar of pressure needed to run a proper diffuser, so I am sticking to using my DIY method which thus far has worked perfectly fine. 4. 1KG Citric Acid is about R 40 which will last me about 5 months and Bicard about the same. So the entire system should cost me around R240 a year to run. Which isn't too bad.
Good info. Are you using any special bottles for the setup? I really need to pull my thumb out my butt and do mine.
Also, now that you've set up yours, what would you say is the smallest size bottles that can be used effectively? 500ml? 1litre?
Anything smaller than 1 litre won't work as the mixture requires 200 grams of baking soda and 600 mils of water. Sent from my EVA-L09 using Tapatalk
Bakers Bin, they do big quantities of all baking products. The system has now been running for a week with no signs of slowing down.
I Well, most of my plants are slow growers low-tech plants, but I will post progress pictures tonight.
