    Hi all

Here is my 'rocky aquascape' tank that I've scaped about a week ago. This was just a re-scape and went with something completely different to what I knew. This was my first time using rock as the 'main attraction.' I got the dragon rock in one piece and broke the rock up into different sizes. I've kept it low tech and very basic.

    Size: 45W X 23B X 45H (31L)

Filtration: Eheim pickup 45 internal filter.

Lighting: Ai.M (back to nature) Extra day Hi-glow.

    Hardscape:
    Dragon Stone
    Small grapevine driftwood

    Flora:
    Riccia
    Xmas moss
    Alder cones & IAL

    Fauna:
Neon tetras, coral red Danio, cull shrimp, apple snail.

Looks good, that is a lot of riccia! Isn't it a ton of maintenance?
Riccia and duckweed are like the herpes of planted tanks. You can never fully get rid of them once you've had them:toothy12:

Thanks man! Yeah, 100% about being herpes.
Once it starts growing together, then it's a bit easier to work with, but it just wants to float. It's the only thing I had to use as a carpet

Yeah - that ain't going to last, I have used hairnets way back to keep it "down" holds for a few months, but be careful fish can get stuck in it.

I like the idea ... nice rock work.

@Jarrydventer nice scape. I recently re-did my scape as well with dragon rock and riccia as well but I noticed the riccia has lost it's colour after attaching it to the rock. It's not that bright green colour as when I received it and some of the branches/buds are browning. I'm running CO2, dosing scape complete daily, heater at 23 degrees, 25W LED's on for 8 hours. I'm stumped. Have you experienced this with your riccia ?

Thanks man. Check my latest post, I've completely redone the tank, took out all the Ricca and used different plants.

Where is the Ricca located? Top of the tank or on the ground? I've never had a problem with Ricca browning, only problem I had was it WILL eventually detach itself and float

Really strange that it's not growing? My Ricca out grew my scape within a month, and I didn't liquid dose nor did I run CO2.

It's glued to the dragon rock at the bottom of the tank.
