Hi Guys I have been lurking the forum regularly and need some advice please.

I have 450l community tank , 90cm shrimp and guppy tank ,60cm shrimp ,a drum I moved majority of the guppies to, due to losing too much shrimp in the 90cm.

And lastly I have a 60cm I moved 2 electric blue acaras to from my community tank. They were becoming aggressive towards the other fish and showing spawning behaviour. Now I moved them to a 60cm .

The problem I have is that it seems like the male is battering the female and although the male does his shakes and flaring ,there is no egg laying happening.

Should I keep them together or at what point should I separate them. The females fins took quite a beating so far.

Thanks for reading and any advice would be appreciated.
