Where is the best place to buy a inline CO2 diffuser? Should I wait for Sean(slagter) to bring in the system he talked about at LooliLocks ?
here is the DIY. now I want to know if I can install the air stone in this diffuser so it's not visible in the aquarium? will run the air as soon as the CO2 turns off
diffuser is taking up lots of space and will restrict flow or even pop off over time im sure.. remove it and just use a up aqua diffuser right at the top.. or just leave the air line tubing as is.
okay. will this work? its a normal air stone CO2 running 10 hours a day with the lights on and the airpump 14 hours after the lights are turned off?
Just check that your tubing does not pop off on the normal plastic check valves, I had back pressure from the diffuser and it just came loose.
Thanks JP. I will test this inline diffuser for a month or so and if it works I will try to build a new one that will have space for my heater aswell. Maybe this one will run on its own pump with separate inlets and outlets .
too many connections i think. might loose CO2 through the check valve. those things are never 100% @Franna look here its been tried and tested and works quite well.. http://www.rexgrigg.com/diy-reactor.htm
okay. will install one more air stone so that the CO2 and air pump each have there own line. I will upgrade to something similar to that CO2 diffuser if I do my inline heater next month.thanks for all the advise guys.
I'm going to do one of these guys for my tank. I'm going to try get as much gear out of the display as possible.
the plants put it in just running a regular airstone at night is plenty, you don't need to try and diffuse the oxygen..
okay.but I don't really want to put a airstone in the aquarium itself. i want everything hidden, is that possible?
if you have time before lights go out and CO2 comes on. you can just raise the outlet of your filter so it breaks the surface.. this will be sufficient. It will keep protein build up at bay and supply oxygen witch is not "really"
