Congratulations to Takayuki Fukada for winning the IAPLC 2016 with this amazing scape!
Definitely a winner.

I agree! Seems to bring something a little different as well..
I see we had one South African in the top 2000.. Someone named Marc......
I was having a look at the past Grand Prize winners, and it's a testament to how the popularity of the hobby has grown and the intensity of the competition has increased - the first few winners were a little, well, amateurish..
Wow that is an epic scape!!!
I wonder how old is the scape ?
Would also like too see a higher res photo.
The use of the ghost catfish was genius!
That would be me
I thought they were looking at more natural scapes with long term sustainability, not underwater landscapes.
It's a great scape but thought it would be something in a different direction this year.
More impressive than the scape is how they got the fish to line up so perfectly.
Bizarre the winner's name makes a mockery of the comps sponsor.... fukada, surely not, lol !
Ha ha ha...that's so funny
Well spotted Trevor
lol, yes and to boot this scape appears to have not used any ADA, so in other words fukada !
The scape is brilliant of course, but love the subtle and original use of the phantom cat shoal which are rarely seen in scapes..
LOL well spotted. Took me a while to figure that out...
It is pronounced Fu-Ka-Da. Philistine.
