I know this is more for the tropical side but wanted to share this tank with you guys as well.

After I lost my Sea horses I was not quite sure if a marine tank is the thing for me , having my brothers tank around I thought was enough. But seeing the growth in his tank and looking at all the corals I decided to give the Nano a second chance.

It was cleaned after the horses died and just ran with substrate and LR, (most probably knew I was going to bite the bullet again and find something to place in it..LOL! ) Then Carl got two beautiful Sun corals and they grabbed my heart.

Well now the Boyu TL450 with its Seio M620 is back in action.

Decided to mainly go with Zoas, Mushrooms, Candy cane, Pin cushion and the Sun corals
It houses my Bicolor Blenny called "Kopbeen"

Thanks, it is a whole world on its own. To see the corals respond is so rewarding and the color is amazing!

Yes I love those hermit crabs and those cleaning shrimps that catch the fish and clean them. I saw a tank with them in once, those fish go in a trance when it gets groomed. ;D Amazing

I've seen it happen so many times and it is still amazing.
This tank was my inspiration, as it stands behind my desk at work and I've spend hours helping on it. Feeding it is my baby and having them eat out of my hand is so rewarding.

Thanks WBS, still very new and this marine thing but being around it every day and having a brother that is very much in to everything to do with marines I had to try. I realized the bigger you go the better as it is way less stress. Still playing safe as it’s running with the backup of replacing water with the 1500l tank. And I realized how fast a person has to act if something goes wrong over the years. But it is a nice challenge.

Thanks altondaley36, a lot of changes happen since this post, I’ve combined the marine, tropical and reptile side in the office and at home. They all bring so much joy! There is now a dedicated Nano’s for a Mantis Shrimp, a Dwarf Lion fish pair, Seahorses and then the odd ball tank also two monsters that runs about 5000l between them. Will try and get some nice photos of all the tanks ;)

I’m very fortunate to share this hobby of mine with my brother and a lot of the stuff like salt, water and electricity gets shared. All and all we run about 5000l just on the marine side. So my cost on 4 Nano’s, tropical tanks and reptiles is about a R1000.00 per month. We buy a lot of our products in bulk so it makes a small difference ;) But with all the relaxing by my tanks and animals I safe on calmmets....hehehe ;) There is quite a bit of the food that we have cultures for so cost on that side is not to bad.

Thanks Andre he is one of my special children ;)
