On a LFS crawl ( Lifestyle Pet Hyper in Randburg ) spotted some new product on a trolley.

    love the green logo ..

hmm not to bad for a 3ft - should be able to rescape one with only two buckets.

Now I need to find a tank to rescape ...

    Anybody else use this before?

No clue - had a power failure - so that kinda put a halt on things.

    Maybe a nano ...

    Nano it is ...

I really like the "Lava soil"

    size, color and texture

now the AF natrual substrate ... hmm that time will tell.

to say it has loads of plant material - peat would be an understatement

    I mean loads

experiment planted - most are from the original tank - that was Langa substrate .. going to be same light and just an airstone.

and the required buce for the test

as expected some floaters and a bit muddy.

    Time will tell.

Tried their marine products and they where really great.
Would it not be better to cap the natural sand with the lava rock?

it actually cleared in a day or two .. - weird actually like the Natrural substrate look.

Also did an accidental re-scape of D-tank

Love the AF java soil ... might even add a few more plants later on.

    Hiya Ferdie!
Curious to know how your Aqua Forest tank is doing now a couple months down the line?
And your experience with the product, positive or negative? Have seen it in stores, but on the fence about it.

my lighting - or lack of it is not doing it justice

but I will take the soil any day ... colour and no need to cap is great. Actually bought another buck for when one just has to rescape ;-)
