    thanks, that fluval filter is amazing, but worked well while the tank was "bare bottom", soon realised that I had no way of putting it in the tank along with substrate... and since I added the matrix (removed some out of one of my canister filters) in the filter the nitrates dropped nicely...

    @GDT78, Indeed, will post pics as soon as I am done with it, picking up the aquasoil for that particular tank today and then I'll post pics of the re-scape and so on.
    This little nano is in the kitchen, and my wife wants it to stay there.
    (Think I won this round? O0 (one less tank to feel guilty about))

    got a tiny crypt, finally pushing some leaves out, but going to leave this tank as is...

    Starting to look like a real jungle almost.
    If you remove the rock and get some different stems you can go for a dutch scape.

    Yup...and NOT a plant I would recommend for CO2 tanks (unless you like trimming 3 - 4 times a week) LOL
