Nice spot for the tank .. actually you should be able to fit 4 or 5 more when MTS hits in that space.

Anubia, java ferns, vallis and moss should do well in your tank - even some bolbitis. As for the things like Dwarf Hair grass and maybe some of the other stems lights could be a problem. The PFS make your tank look brighter than what is really is - all the light reflection.

Have a listen to what Amano says about deep tanks *3:15 (it can be extrapolated).

You need some hight in that tank. Take a drive to http://www.cmlandscaping.co.za/cms/ this morning - they are open on Sundays. In the past they have had some very cool wood. You might be able to find something. Take a measuring tape with ;-) no point in buy a tree that will not fit.

    Keep them pics coming.

Nice size tank. Depth will be a challenge from a lighting point of view but it can be done.

You've probably been told already but you will need to rethink some of your livestock :)

Ja, maybe add a long fin pleco and two Oscars... :sarcasm::S

    Just kidding!!!

But as mentioned you might need to get more light in there for the more "needy" plants.
I like he spot where the tank is standing, something to look at while you chopping onions in the kitchen, maybe to keep your eyes from tearing up...:D

    Welcome to APSA!
Please post more pics, we LOVE pictures!

Nice end-to-end how to plant a tall tank ...

Loads of tips ... esp on trimming certain plant types when planting them.

I think your betta and barbs will have issues

Is the red tiger you refer to an Oscar? That's going to cause issues.

White mountain? White clouds? If so they prefer much cooler temps than angels.

Looks like you have neons...they also prefer cooler temps.

I see you have quite a few rams. They become very dominant and aggro if they start breeding.

    Hi

    No oscars or tiger barbs

It's better known as a cherry barb . Peacefull little critters . See pic

My temp is between 26 and 27

The tank I think big enough everybody has enough space to do there thing .

I have notice no issues with fish all swimming happy go lucky .

The Rams do pair up that I have noticed and they have there spot . But will give a quick chase and moves back . Not hunting or constantly harassing others.

Maybe I am lucky and I hoe this keeps up.

    Will have a look out.

    Thanks for the info! image.jpeg

Looks a lot better than the plastic plants IMO. I would just get that Anubias Barteri's rhizome out of the sand...it's gonna get all mushy and eventually die on you. You can "plant" the roots in the sand if you really like the idea of it on your substrate, but the rhizome has to be out of it. Why dont you just tie it to your wood?

Thank you Jax for the info ! It is a top Layer sand and underneath black flourish substrate. Will the same apply?

5 to 6 cm sand and all around 4 to 5 cm flourish substrate.

I have four Anubias and a couple of Amazon swords . Will they also needed to be replanted?
