I'm still planning allot of it but i would like a nice ground cover . i have dragon rock that will stick out of the ground cover and id like some bigger plants towards the back. at the moment im busy getting the tank ready and trying to get the CO2 equipment i need. at the end i would like to add cherry shrimp and some nano fish like thread tails or something like that. I come from a cichlid background so this is very new to me. can anyone suggest a ground cover that is not too difficult but looks good ?

Check out Iwagumi tanks for inspiration. Sounds like what you are describing.
