Plants look good and a great step forward here, well done !

Time will tell if there's enough interest in the hobby to sustain it all. Abroad plants that are propagated immersed which is most of them are by and large then displayed and sold immersed. By doing this they maintain premium condition and look good for the potential buyer rather than going backwards as soon at the hit the LPS, which I fear is going to happen here. Let's face it the average LPS know jack sh--t about plants and what's good for them , but sadly they simply don't care, as long as they sell them and ideally quickly!

Conclusion.. the Scape team need to educate the LPSs how to maintain their product and that a tank with lost of bubbles and light is not going to do the trick..

@Trev Pleco: What's wrong with an online shop? I would definitely buy some of these plants when I can. I struggle to find some decent plants in my town and even online, it's a mission too through the classifieds - stuff goes very quickly or it's usually a bad time to buy.

Online immersed plants are big business abroad, especially as they ship easily and with efficient and relatively cheap overnight services.

I agree with you - I've seen this one time too many and doesn't matter how many times you try and tell them, it goes in one ear and out the other. That's why I suggested the online shop which would actually thrive more when people know the quality they are buying and actually buy more from Scape directly.

Just had to get some of the new product and support local is lekker.

Even if it means I am buying duplicates of what is already growing on lucky 13's shelf.

Really good job on this, a bit strange when I first started looking at plants you could not get ground covers for love or money, now it is the first mass local product from epicscape.

Thanks guys appreciate the effort you keep putting into the hobby to make your business a success, hope all will support you.

By my calculation you shipped 50 plants per box by lets call it 10 boxes ... no small effort.

That little information stick so makes the product look more professional.

Say it as it is.. to see plants stocked like that is just dumb. They are grown emersed, and then dumped in a tank, with lots of painted fish, high lights, no CO2, and are meant to be sold.. what you think their quality will be in one week? And who do you think will be blamed for the poor quality?

Let's not talk about the diseases.. we say quarantine all fish, but at this rate quarantine the plants also..

    Just amazing..

Good thing we have some choice in JHB, Lifestyle's ladder display is fully stocked with the epicscape range - 100 plants I think it was. PS that is where I got my two plants from.

Keen to see what is next from epicscape ...

    Have a safe weekend.

Here's a pic of one of the immersed plant stands at Sharnbrook Shrimp in the UK, it's a bit empty in the middle as I had already done my shopping :)

It has a pair of mist sprayers on either side which go off every few minutes, also a security measure to combat self serve south africans..

Will get some more pics up at some point..

I do like the mist idea, I am sure they see good growth with those lights and the mist, probably also helps in keeping the temps down.

LFS at Cresta also now carries stock ....

R55 per pot ... - Yes I know I have all of these somewhere in my tanks - but best support the growers and shop owners, hope you have all done the same.
