No, oxygen_bullet, I from Byelorussia. It is a little country near Russia and Poland. Thank you for a compliment. Here much Taxiphyllum barbieri in this tank. I like this moss very much. it is good contrast for a high grass

It is a green country, it is a true. ;) So many plants in my tank only. I`m a collector (unfortunately), I hold too much mid-ground stems in one tank.

As you can see Natalia there are a few other contributers to this forum who are totally incapable of writing in "da" English.... so don't let that stop you.

Your tank looks really good, perhaps you could tell us what's in it, plants and fish, latin names will do. What are your water parameters?
I see some very interesting things growing in there!! Where do you get you plants and fish from?
I read a few years ago that there are many markets and aquarium clubs in Moscow where people can swap fish and plants etc.
I have also seen many beautifully planted tanks from Russia.
What are things like for hobbyists in Minsk?

OK, parameters of of my water: GH 11 ( 8 ), KH 8 (6), pH 6,5-7,0, NO3 8-10 (5) Mg\l, PO4 0,5 Mg\l, Fe- 0,2-0,5 Mg\l , (?) ? it`s in the tank with 1\3 RO. CO2 is usually anywhere from 35 - 80 mgl (I know it`s to much, but all is OK with fish). I think that the gravel (I mean substrate) is very important in the planted tank. I never used "empty" gravel. In my aquariums I use Tetra Complete Substrate and Sera Flore Depot. My fert: Nitrates - from KNO3, Phosphates ? from KH2PO4, I don`t add Potassium regularly, 1 or 2 times in a week add 5 Mg\l on each 100 l, micro nutrients - from our local fertilizer for hydroponics.
My hobby much gets from the Internet. I have friends in Moscow. there I buy my plants. My collection is so filled up. Now I try to keep:
    Ammannia gracilis
    Anubias nana
    Aponogeton undulatus
    Bacopa caroliniana
    Bacopa monnieri
    Bolbitis heudelottii
    Cabomba caroliniana
    Cryptocoryne wendtii nana
    Cryptocoryne parva
    Cryptocoryne nevillii
    Cyperus helferi
    Didiplis diandra
    Echinodorus tenellus
    Eleocharis acicularis
    Glossostigma elatinoides
    Hemiantus micranthemoides
    Hemianthus callitrichoides
    Heteranthera zosteraefolia
    Hygrophila polisperma var. rosanervig
    Hydrotriche hottoniiflora
    Lagarosiphon madagascariensis
    Limnophila aromatica
    Ludwigia palustris
    Ludwigia arcuata
    Marsilea crenata
    Mayaca fluviatilis
    Micranthemum umbrosum
Microsorum pteropus ? ?. sp Vindelov
    Monosolenium tenerum
    Myriophyllum aquaticum
    Nesaea padicellata
    Riccia fluitans
    Rotala macrandra
    Rotala rotundifolia
    Rotala wallichii
    Rotala wallichii sp
    Rotala sp.Nanjenshan
    Proserpinaca palustris & 2 mosses - Taxiphyllum barbieri & Leptodictyon riparium (?)

There are not many hobbyists with planted tanks in my town now, but ...?verything changes. :) I see that now

    Hi Natalia, welcome to APSA.

A few questions, I hope you don't mind:
    1) I was wondering how you came across our site in the first place?

    2) Are you involved in running the Byelorussian forum at all?

To all our South African forum members, I draw your attention to this section of the General Guidelines for Posting on APSA:

Just something for all of us to bear in mind.

Natalia, I hope you enjoy your time at APSA, I hope you find some useful information.

    Kind regards,
    Ryan

Thank you for the compliment to my aquariums.
To Icarus - the internet and a hobby unite people, I agree with you :) People which are exchanged experience get the best results. In Byelorussia people talk: "One head - it is well, but two heads it is much better"
To oxygen_bullet - Girls are not much on the Byelorussian forum also. ;)
To Ryan - I will make an effort to answer. Once I did a search in google "Aquatic plants, Africa", and and this forum appeared the second link. Why Plants - I think it`s clearly :) and why Africa - because I searched territorial informations. I searched information about Aponogeton & Anubias. I did not find necessary information, unfortunately, but I saved link to this forum and read them sometimes. About the Byelorussian forum. It is 1 year old, it`s very young. Nobody there crazy about plants such as me, that why I often communicate in the internet, to find necessary information about same plants. I hope, I answered clearly. Forgive me for my English once again. :)
