    Hi Everyone

    I have always kept tropical fish but decided a few years ago to concentrate on our local fresh water fish, but now im looking for Shrimp..any help please?

    Local shrimp as in shrimp only found in our waters?

    Or local shrimp that has been bred in SA by hobby peeps?

    You would then be looking for Caridina nilotica and can collect them if you have a bait collection permit. Do you keep any local fish?

    Yes local shrimp thats only found in our waters and not saltwater shrimp either, yes i have Kurper, Karp and some small fish that i think are mosquito fish or something.
