So decided to put this small tank into action. Used it for my Wabi Kusa experiment, which work nicely, but kinda got bored with it now. Plans so far is a low tech semi emersed tank. Specs. Tank - DIY 25x25x10cm 8mm glass tank. Light - DIY MR16 LED 3W spot light Filter - Mini "built-in" sump, just a concept so far. Heating - No heater (Yet) Substrate - PFS Hardscape - Dragon rock or sandstone + driftwood Plants - Java moss, anubais, needle leaf java, buce, crypts. Livestock - haven't decided or researched on this yet. Since the tank is so shallow, was thinking along the line of an island effect. So, rocks and driftwood will be sticking out of the water with plants on them. Wanting to only plant on and around the "island", and then scatter smaller stones on the outskirts. One problem I found is that my smallest filter is still very big, and flow is quite hectic also. Busy designing something similar to a built-in sump / HMF, but scaled down big time. Will upload some pics soon. Want to do something like this... Quick question regarding livestock. Can guppies survive in an unheated tank? What options are there for fish in such a small tank without a heater. Will start uploading some pics of the actual tank later. Comments and ideas welcome!
