Hi, I used to be active on this forum a few years ago but have not had a tank up and running for a few years. I am busy setting one up at the moment. I will attach some pictures. The tank is 50cm(L)x40cm (W) and 36cm height. The width includes a sump type of filter built into the tank. My aim is not to go too high tech. Substrate: Sieved soil capped with gravel/tiny pebbles Hardscape: 1 Piece of wood, maybe a rock or too. Filtration: Sump, filter wool, ceramic. Lighting: GU10's. I have 2 daylight (5W), 1 blue and 1 red. The red and blue are only 1.5W though. I will probably get two more daylight bulbs. Live stock: Not too much, likely shrimp and some galaxy rasboras. Plants: Along the lines of Lilaeopsis sp, would like HC but don't think I have the correct setup, moss and..ill still have to figure the rest out. At the moment the tank is empty on the stand, left it full for a while checking for leaks. I still need to build the lighting fixture, will most likely use perspex. I'm clueless about the wiring though, is it ok to wire them in series? I had to get a stand made for the tank, its a bit low so I will place it on sleeper wood. The tank will be moved inside shortly Any advice? Please send it my way, especially with regards to the wiring and light fixture..
