Hi all, looking at getting one . From my research it seems some people keep the unit in 2 places . One being above the aquarium and the other below . Which position would be the most optimal ?

Thanks for the info , to overcome this can i position the ferts lets say at water level . In other words the pump and the ferts would be in close proximity to each other but at waterlevel approximately . I am going to use scape ,Im assuming I can remove the manual pump and insert the inlet from the pump . Would i have to seal the bottle opening to prevent evaporation ?

Same level should be ok, you can pop the tube into the bottle,

Like Algae wizard says, you can just pop in the tube into your bottle of scape and your fine. I took caps off from some old excel bottles, made a hole at the middle and pushed it through but not airtight. Reason was for insects and dust from getting in. From my experience, these units is that you can place them anywhere. I like to keep the unit close to my ferts.

    Regards
